Hauschild SpeedMixer® – the heart of a fully automated production line for formulating, dispensing and applying adhesives
Hamm/Detroit, March xx, 2023. – The formulation of adhesives can pose major challenges: Already during the formulation process, the key factor of adhesives – the bonding – is a crucial part defined by proper mixing..
If stirring tools are used to mix the ingredients, they have to be cleaned again with solvents. So does the container in which the mixing takes place. If air is entrapped in the mixed material, the entire batch is unusable – because air does not stick.
Today, adhesives are widely used in all kinds of industries. Chemical companies are constantly researching ever better adhesives for new applications.
A German chemical company has now fully automated its process for new adhesive formulations and built a corresponding plant for this purpose. The heart of this fully automated production line is built by four Hauschild SpeedMixer®. They are integrated into robotic systems and continously mix adhesives under vacuum, without the use of stirring tools and as such without any entrapment of air.
At the Adhesive & Sealant Expo, the German mixing expert will be demonstrating its Hauschild SpeedMixer® and invites visitors to bring their own material to see the bubble-free results.
